March 16, 2014 ~ Jan Lisiecki

In July of 2007, Jan Lisiecki was the 12-year-old winner of the Virginia Waring International Piano Competition.  This was his first performance at Snowmass Chapel.  Now, nearly 7 years later, Jan is the 19-year-old world traveler, delighting international audiences with his astonishingly mature interpretations of the great master works of the keyboard.

This year, Jan will be tickling the Steinway Ivories at Snowmass Chapel on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 7 PM.  He will be playing a delectable Chopin Program, consisting of:

Grand Valse Brilliante Op. 18

Chopin Preludes (24)

3 Nocturnes Op. 9

3 Valses Op. 64

Andante Spianato & Grande Polonaise Brilliante Op. 22

There is no reserve seating, so please arrive early to get a good seat.  Free will donations will be accepted at the door, but the concert is free.

Snowmass Chapel would like to thank Larry & Margaret Marsland for their sponsorship and Aspen Snowmass Skiing Company for their fine support of this event!

Chopin repertoire doesn’t get played any better than by Lisiecki. I can’t wait to hear him again! What a treat!! Thank you so much, Jan and Paul.
